This Photo is of a tree stump sticking out of the beach sand in Neskowin, Oregon. It is on a isolated beach that most people do not know about. The only legal access is by owning property in the area, or wadding a stream to walk down the beach to see them. Then to add to the difficulty one must be on the beach at a certain time of year and even then they do not reveal themselves every year. I am fortunate to live here and I see the beach most everyday. Not too long ago the tree stumps were sticking out of the sand up to 7 feet. Now only a few are poking out about a foot above the sand. That is alot of sand to move. What is truly amazing is how quickly the sea life completely covers these tree stumps. I took a few photos on this day and thought I would take several more the next day. The clouds moved in by morning and ruined the lighting. So these are truly special and one of a kind photos. I think we all have the same thinking that what ever the weather is that is going to not change,...
